Plastpack, Formerly Known as Churchill & Coombes
Plastpack has been supplying the food, medical, pharmaceutical, industrial and agricultural sectors across Australia since 1928, when the business was founded as a trader in hessian sacks. As plastics became the material of choice for commercial packaging in the late 1960s, the company developed its plastic bag manufacturing capabilities and has continued to grow ever since.
Today, Plastpack operates as a vertically integrated manufacturer at its Sydney facility. We extrude our own film, print directly on it, and form bags in-house, all under one roof. This end-to-end control means we can hold approximately 50 tonnes of film stock at any time, maintain short lead times, and produce bags made to exact size, colour, thickness and seal specifications.
Full control of the manufacturing process allows us to produce food grade and medical grade packaging to the standards required by our food, pharmaceutical and clinical customers. Custom printing is available up to six colours, and our team provides product and design assistance throughout the ordering process.
