Plastpack manufactures produce rolls for growers, packers, greengrocers and food retailers who bag fruit and vegetables at volume. A produce roll delivers a continuous run of bags on a roll, so staff tear one off, fill it and move on. Because we extrude our own film and form the bags in our own Sydney facility, you buy produce rolls directly from the manufacturer rather than from a reseller holding third-party stock.
Built for Speed at the Packing Bench
Produce bags fail in two ways: they tear off badly, or they will not open. Both cost time on every single bag, and at hundreds of bags a shift that adds up. Our produce rolls are made so the perforation tears clean and the bag opens on the first go, which keeps the line moving whether the bagging happens in the packing shed or at the front of a shop.
Food-Grade Film
Fresh produce is a food-contact application. Our produce rolls are made to the relevant food safety requirements, so the bag is fit for the job rather than a general bag used in its place. Specify food use when you enquire and we will supply the correct product. See our

Sizes, Gauge and Custom Rolls
Bag size and film gauge depend on what goes in. Light leafy produce needs very little, while potatoes, citrus and root vegetables need a heavier film that will not split under weight or sharp edges. Tell us the produce you pack, the typical fill weight and how the rolls are dispensed, and we will recommend a size and gauge. Custom sizes and roll lengths are made to order. Printed Produce Rolls
Produce bags can carry your brand, farm name, product information or handling text. With up to
six-colour printing in-house, we print the film ourselves, so branded produce rolls do not add a third party to your order.
