Frequently Asked Questions
What size garbage bag fits a standard commercial bin?
A 73 litre bag at 760mm x 900mm fits most standard commercial and office bins with enough neck to tie off. For 120L and 240L wheelie bins, use the matching 120L or 240L bag so the liner reaches the base without stretching.
What is the difference between black and clear garbage bags?
Black rubbish bags conceal general waste and suit offices, kitchens and public areas. Clear garbage bags show the contents, which supports recycling separation, waste audits and security checks. Many sites run both as a colour code across their bins.
What thickness do I need for heavy or sharp waste?
Light dry waste suits 15 to 16 micron. Wet or dense waste needs 20 to 28 micron, and sharp industrial waste should move to LDPE liners at 30 micron or above. Our thickness guide covers how to match micron to load in more detail.
Which bags are best for garden and green waste?
Choose 28 micron heavy duty bags or thicker in the 120L or 240L size. The heavier film resists punctures from twigs and prunings and carries wet clippings without splitting, which suits landscapers, nurseries and grounds teams.
Are HDPE or LDPE garbage bags stronger?
HDPE gives higher tear strength for its thickness and suits dry general waste. LDPE is more puncture resistant and flexible, so it performs better with sharp, heavy or bulky loads. We manufacture both and can advise which film suits your waste stream.
Can Plastpack supply garbage bags in bulk across Australia?
Yes. Bags are supplied by the box in commercial quantities with delivery Australia wide from our Sydney factory. Standing orders can be set up for regular reordering, and custom sizes, colours and thicknesses are manufactured to order.
