Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes do clinical waste bags come in?
We stock 5, 10, 50 and 72 litre sizes, from a 255 x 380mm bench bag up to a 710 x 900mm bag, in 30 to 55 micron yellow printed film. Custom sizes can be manufactured on request.
Why are clinical waste bags yellow?
Yellow is the recognised colour for the clinical waste stream, so a yellow printed bag with the biohazard symbol makes the waste clear to staff and handlers. Segregation requirements are set by the standards that apply to your facility.
What is the difference between clinical and incinerate waste bags?
Clinical waste bags cover general clinical waste for segregation and disposal. Incinerate waste bags are red and printed for waste that must be disposed of by incineration. The correct stream for a given waste is set by your facility's procedures.
Can you supply clinical waste bags in custom sizes?
Yes. We manufacture to custom sizes, colours and print for clinical waste streams. Send us your requirement and we will confirm the specification and lead time.
Can I order clinical waste bags in bulk across Australia?
Yes. Bags are supplied by the box in commercial quantities with delivery Australia wide from our Sydney factory. Standing orders can be arranged for facilities that reorder regularly.
